Most striking feature:
The rooms. They’re wonderful. That’s because of the tadelakt on the walls and floor and the huge drawing on the wall. You have a little terrace for yourself (including a hammock ofcourse). The bathroom is open. And that can be a problem (especially if you’re travelling with a photographer and stylist like I did) because you want some privacy if you really need to go to the toilet. But that’s a common thing in the Riviera Maya. One tiny bit of negativity: the restaurant is awful. You will wait hours for the food to come and then it’s raw or cold. So prepare yourself and go somewhere else.
From 85 euro a night. Check out: www.playaazultulum.com
