Most striking feature:
Years ago I visited the Ysbreeker and by then it was just an ordinary cafe. I heard about the renovations last year but couldn’t believe the difference when I walked in yesterday. There’s a lot more space and the design is very welcome in that area of Amsterdam. While everyone is sitting in the front of the cafe – overlooking the river Amstel – I like the back. Simple chairs in contract with the wall made of plants. That’s something I love: bringing nature inside. A good spot to drink a cup of tea in the morning or end the day with a glass of wine. Oh another plus: in summer there’s a huge terrace.
