Most striking feature:
The kitchen. Perfection. You see the Japanese chefs standing in a window marked by thick red poles – topped of by old pallets. Ofcourse everyone will rave about their sublime sushi and other Japanese dishes (and yes, it tasted delicious), but the interior is what makes this restaurant so special. El Japones @22 is located at Poble Nou – an area somewhat outside the city center – on the ground floor of a skyscraper. Maybe it’s me but I thought the lamps were shaped like the skyscrapers around. The interior is done by Sandra Tarruella – the same architect of Pez Vela and La Cantina among others.
