Most striking feature:
Foam is the Museum of Photography in Amsterdam. Definitely worth a visit because they collect work of the best photographers in the world (Mario Testino, Anton Corbijn, Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin). Ofcourse the museum has a museumshop but it’s a tiny little place (compared to the huge one Fotografiska in Stockholm owns for example). Now that they’ve opened &Foam in January they have enough space to sell photography books, magazines and even art prints. What caught my eye was ofcourse the Mario Testino book (visited the Kate Moss exhibition years ago), the Gentle Woman, Fantastic Man and simple Foam mugs. They can also host events in this spacious building to bring photography together with other disciplines. Like Fashion&Foam where they’ve discussed photography in the new Dutch Vogue. Later this year they will organise Music&Foam, Design&Foam and Film&Foam. Free entrance.
