I’m a huge fan of Brooklyn and I would definitely recommend you to go there. Brooklyn is huge. Dumbo isn’t near Bedford Avenue at all. You can take the subway, but as I told you before, hire a bike because that’s the best way to see this area of New York. My first impression of Bedford Avenue was ‘touristy’. If a certain street is in a very famous travel guide I’m already wondering where the new things are happening. From what I’ve heard from a local and experienced by myself is that the cool things are opening more towards the river. So go to Wythe Avenue for new boutiques, the newly opened Wythe Hotel and Isa restaurant. I will show you more the next couple of days.
