Most striking feature:
First church on Petite Passport. The Chapel of Silence is build last year and is part of the World Design Capital 2012 programme. You can visit it throughout the day. It’s a small church made entirely out of wood. It already won the Chicago Athenaeum International Architecture Award in 2010 when it wasn’t even open. It’s not used for services, but it is for small gatherings and right now it’s open for tourists like me who want to feel the silence on one of Helsinki’s busiest squares.
