Most striking feature:
The cafe upstairs is a fantastic place to meet up with colleagues or friends. You can even go by yourself because they have a good selection of design magazines lying on a huge reading table. I’ve tried one of their sandwiches: smorrebrod with salmon and avocado. Very good. I asked for a bio apple juice and got a freshly squeezed one. Delicious! Droog Design is a collective of people who produce design products, hosts events and bring the world a little bit of humour in it. Their store in Amsterdam is enlarged with a cafe on the first floor and a shop, called Kabinet, by stylist Ferry van der Nat on the second floor. Except superb brands like Maison Margiela and Costume National. I stood still for a Jerome Dreyfuss bag for like 5 minutes. I’d rather pay more for a cool hotel than clothes, but this Momo bag is definitely on my wish list.
