THE POT LUCK CLUB CAPE TOWN

Most striking feature:

The owners of The Test Kitchen at the Old Biscuit Mill have opened a new restaurant. Also in the Old Biscuit Mill, but the Pot Luck Club is located on top of the new Creative Academy of Cape Town. ‘It’s only open for a week’, someone tells me, ‘but there’s already a waiting list for 3 (!) months’. A success story so far. Is it the location? Because of the beautiful view of the city? Or the food? Chef Luke Dale-Roberts, one of the most famous chefs in South Africa, runs the restaurant that is all about Asian tapas; small dishes to share. I particularly liked their business card: simply printed on a coaster (spotted earlier at the now-closed John Dory Oyster Bar in New York). It’s open for lunch and dinner. Reservations are required.
