New pictures from June 2017

The most striking feature is a swing on the beach. Meant for children ofcourse, but as an adult it’s also nice to bring back some childhood memories and have a beautiful view of the sea at the same moment.

Inspired by Bali and Ibiza

Ubuntu is a new beachclub in Zandvoort (open for 6 weeks now) and the idea of two young entrepreneurs. They worked at several beachclubs in the past and thought: let’s
open one inspired by Bali and Ibiza. You see a table with several school chairs looking out over the sea. You hear relaxing summer tunes. And the menu is very inviting. There’s a dish for vegetarians that changes frequently, but you’ll also find a green curry, sate and a Wonton goat cheese salad on the menu. I’ve ordered the Ubuntu burger and was stuffed for the rest of the day (price: 9,5 euro). Apart from the beachclub there’s a beautiful beachhouse which can be rented for weddings or other private parties.

Meaning of Ubuntu

And for those of you wondering what the meaning of Ubuntu is? It’s an African proverb and it means: ‘I am what I am because of who we all are’. Must go this Summer.

Love the place, but don’t like the interpretation of Ubuntu.
‘I am human because of other humans’ or freely ‘I am because of others’
    (Ubuntu: Umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu’).

    Immer wieder gern.
