TRIED & TESTED: PRAKTIK GARDEN BARCELONA

Most striking feature:

Before the fantastic Hotel Praktik Rambla opened its doors, there was The Praktik Hotel. A budget hotel close to Plaza de Tetuan. I’ve tried them both when I was in Barcelona in 2009. Although Praktik Rambla is my favorite, The Praktik was a very affordable hotel. And que sorpresa! The Praktik suddenly has been upgraded to ‘Praktik Garden’. You understand that we (my boyfriend and I) immediately pumped the brakes when we drove past the hotel, because I just had to take a look. The Praktik Garden is only open for a few months now and from a hotel without frills (read: the color white and a very basic interior) it now has a contemporary twist (read: lots of green and even a flamingo print on the wall). Not all the rooms have been changed, so if you go there, ask for the new ones. Unfortunately there were no rooms available to see when I was there last Friday (good sign for them being fully booked), but I hope to update this post soon with pictures of the new rooms as well. Besides the rooms the hotel has a breakfast room (which reminded me of the Praktik Metropol in Madrid), a roof terrace and an entrance that just draws you in.
