Most striking feature:
Hundreds of blue shirts. StampPiet Eindhoven is a temporary restaurant during the Dutch Design Week. A project by Piet Bergman and his girlfriend, and fashion designer, Mascha van Wely. She’s responsible for the design of the place and was in big need of blue shirts. So she could use the mail-system of Philips and in a short time she collected 600 (!) shirts. Most of them hang above the tables, but you also see them hanging on a rack, on a big pile of folded around a chair. Piet loves creative food concepts (they also hosted a restaurant at the design fair in Milan and next to StampPiet, he also does PizzaPiet, when the restaurant is all about that Italian dish). StampPiet is only open for dinner and the only dish served is mash pot. The concept is thought through in every detail: from the skins of the potatoes on the ground to the lemons in the windows. The bowls and plates come in the same color as the shirts. And ofcourse Piet is wearing a blue shirt as well. The restaurant is located on the NRE site.
Only open during the Dutch Design Week, located at Nachtegaalstraat 13a, Eindhoven
