BARRY MELBOURNE

Most striking feature:

The counter made of wooden drawers. Barry is a new cafe in Northcote, a district in the north of Melbourne. It is actually located in between Fitzroy and Brunswick and the boy who works here told me it’s an upcoming neighbourhood. Barry is the place for a coffee-to-go where you can read the newspaper while you wait, or for breakfast or lunch. I’ve tried the fried eggs and it was so yummy. A really good start of the day. The interior really stands out: the bar is made of wooden drawers and the shelving system contains colorful pots with plants for a lush green effect. A subtle detail are the dots on the floor (a reference to the branding of Barry) which we also see on the beautiful aprons of the staff. Not to be missed!

(take the metro to get there and when you go back take the tram via Fitzroy or Collingwood back).
