THE FINE STORE DEN HAAG
Most striking feature:
The collection of the Fine Store. You want to have it all! During Design Kwartier, a festival for slow design, food and lifestyle, I went to this new shop owned by Evelien Maat. She’s not only the owner of the shop, but together with her sister she also designs the most beautiful rugs, pillows and table linens under the name of By Mölle. Which she sells at the Fine Store ofcourse, but she also has an eye for pretty slow design with an honest touch to it. If we look around in the shop we see beautiful vases by Studio Nienke van der Pol and lamps made by Hand & Eye Studio. They have the latest collection of Turina jewelry and sell minimalistic X-prints by Marjon Hoogervorst. I bought the vase ‘Bloemenlab’ of Vlinder en Vogel for 24,95 euro which indicates that the Fine Store is also the perfect address for gifts (for yourself). But they don’t sell only small interior items, because you can also by a stool by SCP or the Between Chair of &Tradition. The shop is located in the Zeeheldenkwartier, an up and coming neighborhood in The Hague.
