Amsterdam Oud-West is getting better every day! Last year we celebrated the opening of Hotel de Hallen and by then the area around it was like a field full of mushrooms. Almost every day a new spot opened its doors. Very close by you’ll find the Bilderdijkstraat where we’ve spotted a lot of new openings recently. From the hysterical designed Happy Happy Joy Joy to a crowdfunded saladbar called Salad & the City. My heart started beating faster because of a new shop called De Wildernis, a store for the (city) gardener. Inside you’ll find the most beautiful plants and other greenery for your balcony or garden. I’ve spotted a few beautiful concrete planters with a red accent that I wanted to take home immediately. Also they organize workshops like ‘how to make a macrame plant hanger’. Cool! Recommended for everyone with a green thumb or those who like to have it!
