Last week when I prepared my trip to Copenhagen I discovered that my last trip was in April 2013. Wow, three years ago! So it’s about time that I go back and bike around that beautiful city in search for the coolest design addresses! Are you travelling with me this week? Follow me on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter. Let’s go!

Hi Petrine! So many great places to check out in Copenhagen! Here are just a few of my favorites for a weekend:
Dining: Have breakfast at Granola, sip a coffee at Atelier September or Mirabelle, and indulge in delicious pastries at Brodflov. Lunch at Cafe Auto. Grab dinner at Host (interiors to die for and wonderful food), Relae, or Radio. For drinks, maybe Mikeller bar?
Shopping: check out the beautiful ceramics at Keramiker Inge Vincents, clothing at Stine Goya and Stilleben, and housewares at Hay House, Designdelicatessen, and Dora.
For a dose of natural beauty in the city: Assistens Cemetery, the greenhouse at the Botanical Garden, or the charming homes along the canal in Nyhavn (though it’ll be full of tourists).
For art & architecure: the Lousiana Museum is a must, and Odrupgaard (don’t forget to reserve a tour of Finn Juhl’s house — not to be missed!), and the Ny Carlsberg museum. If you have time, visit Grundtvigs Kirke (the most beautifully minimalist church).
Most importantly, rent a bicycle and ride it everywhere — best way to see the city! Have a wonderful trip!

      Hi Maleeha,

Thanks so much for all of your recommendations! That’s great! I’ve tried some of them and indeed they are amazing! And I also agree with you on riding a bicycle. Definitely the best way to explore this city!

      Thanks again! Best wishes, Pauline

I’ll be going in June. Can’t wait for the (hopefully upcoming) city guide!
