Ten years ago they opened their store at the Haarlemmerdijk in Amsterdam. From the start, their idea is to work with small independent labels and to be the curator of a selection of beautiful slow design pieces. You can get in touch with new designer names and be the first to learn about a designer. Restored sold Mae Engelgeer’s pillows and tablecloths since the beginning, and now she’s huge. The collection consists of ceramics, jewelry, books, and stationery. Think of the minimalistic ceramics of Evi Radoes, Umbra Shift for their fantastic magazine rack and Noortje de Keijzer and her cool cushions. And they also sell The Amsterdam Guide.
Last Saturday they also opened a store on the Nieuwe Binnenweg in Rotterdam. On my favorite part of the longest shopping street in Rotterdam where you also find other cool addresses such as Stek, Niche and the Urban Espresso Bar. Their focus in Rotterdam is also on small independent labels preferably with Rotterdam roots. Such as the diaries of Marjolein Delhaas and the ceramics of Studio Timmerman. It’s the idea they stay until the end of December, but if things are going well, they might stay longer. Let’s hope so!
