THE VERA HOTEL TEL AVIV

The Vera Hotel opened its doors last year in Tel Aviv and has a fantastic location close to Rothschild Boulevard and many restaurants.

Backgammon and wine

Upon arrival, they treat me with a delicious apple & ginger juice as a welcome drink. The staff is incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere in the lobby feels like home. A couple plays backgammon, and I learn that guests can grab a glass of wine from their innovative wine cabinet. It’s late, so I’m going to the room – a deluxe room – and I wash my hands with hand soap with a lavender scent.

Made by locals

Everything in the hotel was created by locals since Tel Aviv, and the surroundings have so many talents. The hand soap and bath products were made especially for the hotel by Arugot. Everything is plant-based, and the ingredients come from their farm in the Western Negev. It smells so good.

Roof terrace and breakfast

Apart from the lobby where breakfast is served in the morning, the hotel has a roof terrace. From there you have a beautiful view of the city, and on some mornings they organize yoga classes. Since Tel Aviv is known for its delicious cuisine, you can’t miss your breakfast. The whole bar is full of the tastiest dishes: combine your yogurt with the freshest fruit, there are dates and a delicious egg dish. A good breakfast and a yoga class will make you start the day right away!

Bikes

The Vera Hotel is good at treating their guests with lovely extras. They rent bikes to guests who like to explore the city on two wheels – which is highly recommended. You can be at the beach in fifteen minutes, and it’s nice to explore Rothschild Boulevard on your bike. When you return to your hotel room, a bowl of fresh dates is waiting for you.

Bespoke furniture

In the interior, the lamps of designer Ohad Benit stand out, both in the room and in the lobby. They look like bubbles, fragile and beautiful. They also worked with local designer Tomer Nachshon for some of the furniture such as the bedside tables and the desks in the rooms. A very nice detail is the ‘Hey Good Looking’ sign at the entrance. That will make any day in Tel Aviv even better than it already is!
