The last couple of days I’ve showed you the most popular posts on Petite Passport. Posts with the most views. The addresses YOU liked most. And now it’s my time to make a list of MY favorite discoveries of 2012. Places who were on my wish list for months and I finally had the chance to see. Places that made me fall in love with every single detail. The chairs in the restaurant. The clothes on the racks. The perfect mattras. Even the toilet (thank you Mister Starck for the toilets at Ma Cocotte). I feel privileged to travel the world, showing you the most beautiful places and by seeing the amount of visitors raising I love to dream away by the thought that I someday, maybe, can make a living out of it. So thank you for being there, supporting me and travelling to all those fantastic places the world has to offer (and aren’t in a guidebook yet).

BEST OF OCTOBER 2012

Bye bye October, hello November. For me October was the month of recognition by the nominations as a blogger for Red’s Hot Women Awards and VIVA400. I did some spotting in Paris, Amsterdam, Eindhoven and Rotterdam. The post I was most proud of was Ma Cocotte in Paris. There weren’t any pictures online yet when I published it, because the restaurant was only open for a few days. That’s the feeling journalists get when they have a political scoop I guess. If I find a gem like this my heart starts pounding faster, I soak up the interior as if it’s a chocolate fondant and I’m like: ‘Yes, I’m gonna make my readers so happy’!

BEST OF: SEPTEMBER 2012

October 1st, 2012

Don’t you think time flies? We are talking about October again, and for my idea it’s still feels like August. October is a good month to do a citytrip to a perfect autumn destination isn’t? Like New York, Paris or fly to a place with a nice temperature like Lisbon. For me, my travel plans are open. Have to fly back to Barcelona, drive my car back to Rotterdam (maybe with a stop in Paris?) and I really want to go to Eindhoven during the Dutch Design Week at the end of the month. Maybe October is a good time to update all those new spots in the Netherlands I couldn’t visit when I was abroad. Or plan another trip to London. What are your plans?

Last month also marked the beginning of the new feature called FAVORITES. A list of spots you really have to go when you’re in Barcelona, Paris, New York or Amsterdam. All Tried & Tested by me. Hello September! September feels like a new begin. Schools begin, you can buy a new Moleskine and fill it with your new travel plans and stores fill up with the new collections. For me this month begins with a week of being unplugged (more about that later today), a trip to Amsterdam (still enjoying the weather in Barcelona the rest of the month) and a trip to London (yes!!!).
