New contributor Maartje Bodt is stylist in the Netherlands for publications like Jan and Mama Magazine. Last week she went to Bali for work and she visited the Potato Head Beach Club and likes to tell about it to Petite Passport:

Most striking feature:

“The entrance. It’s shaped like the Olympic Stadium and it’s made out of shutters from Java. It looks amazing. It’s located in the same area of Kudeta, but I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go to Kudeta anymore. It’s way too touristy (bit like the Blue Marlin in Ibiza, once it’s hip, it attracts a certain clientele). At Potato Head you also pay for a day bed – you have to spend at least 50 euro. So some people occupy them with three people. I rented one as well and ordered a whole lot of juices But you can also order a good caesar salad or burgers (a very popular dish in here). The staff is dressed mega cool. Scotch & Soda style with blocked blouses, suspenders and a hat. And ofcourse, but that’s everywhere in Bali, they provide an excellent service. There’s also an infinity pool with a bar in it. If you order a cocktail over there, it’s served in a Potato Head. Very funny. Oh, and another thing: the business cards are fabulous.”
