Felicia Shelton is a busy bee. She is the author of the blog This Time Now, she photographs about her travels for several high end magazines and she worked for Tom Dixon in London and Seoul. That’s where she found Cafe aA and she wrote me an e-mail because she really wanted to share this amazing place with the readers of Petite Passport. Thanks Felicia!

Most striking feature:

Café aA, housed on the first floor of The Design museum was an instant hit when it launched in 2007. Located in Hongdae, the most eclectic neighborhood in Seoul, Café aA was a bold move for owner Mr. Kim to make and everyone agrees that it was the right move.  You will be awestruck by the sheer beauty and size of this space. NEW SPOT: HOUSE OF THE PURPLE SEOUL

October 9th, 2011

3 reasons to go there:

  1. If you like the work of …,staat.
  2. It’s a members only place described as home. That’s why I like the kitchen area so much.
  3. But you can also enjoy the outside on their terrace with some magazines.

LIKE TO HAVE: CLOTHES FROM ALAND SEOUL

May 9th, 2011

I love discovering chains we don’t have in the Netherlands. Like Aland: a store with several outlets in Seoul. They collect nice things from all over the world to create a fantastic collection. I did some online window shopping and these are my favorites:

Dress: 33 euro
Bag from Baggu: 37 euro
Espadrilles: 31 euro

LIKE TO HAVE: EVERYTHING ON 1300K.COM

May 11th, 2010

When I was in Barcelona in december I met a Korean girl. I told her about my fetish for diaries and she said: ‘you really have to go to Korea, because they are crazy about diaries.’ So I’ve ordered a planner online, but now I’ve found this website and I’m scrolling my way to heaven. It’s girly, girly gadget heaven. Take a look for yourself. I picked some things I would like to have. Like the pillow above. You can stuck your head in it. Great for 14-hour long flights.

So, what do you think? Is Korea your next holiday/shopping destination?
