LONDON WEEK ON PETITE PASSPORT

December 3rd, 2012

It was a quick trip to London during the busiest time of the year: the countdown to Christmas. And if there’s only one city in the world to visit if you want to have that Christmas fever as soon as possible, it’s London. So where did I go? The better question is: how did my shoes – and feet – survived this trip? I went to Southbank, Kentish Town, King’s Cross, Notting Hill, Islington, Shoreditch, Marylebone, Soho, Covent Garden, and the Somerset House area. I’ve visited Read more…

IN LOVE WITH MY NEW CANON EOS M

November 23rd, 2012

I’m so excited! I’m the proud owner of a brand new Canon EOS M and I can’t wait to take this black beauty to London next week. Yesterday I learned a lot about the smallest Single Lens Reflex camera Canon has ever made during a Masterclass. And while photographing with it, it was love at first sight.

3 reasons to get just as excited as I am:

- Love at first sight usually starts with seeing each other and this small camera really caught my eye. And I wasn’t the only one. When I took some photographs in the lobby of the Andaz Hotel, the location of the Masterclass, it felt like I was carrying a newborn baby. Everyone Read more…

October 25th, 2012

Yes, I’m nominated as a blogger in the VIVA400 list! As I was telling you on Facebook earlier, I’m so thrilled because working on Petite Passport is what I love doing the most. Visiting the spots, writing about them and most important: guiding you to all those fabulous places. I’m grateful for this recognition – and maybe I can even inspire more people to travel the Petite Passport way via this nomination. Thanks for your support!

PARIS WEEK ON PETITE PASSPORT

October 15th, 2012

One day in Paris. Last Saturday I did my best to capture the best of fall 2012 in Paris. So you can enjoy the newest spots when you’re heading there for a city trip (or maybe I can even surprise Parisian citizens with some new things). We will start with a scoop. A restaurant opened just a week ago and is so amazing I can’t wait to show you. Furthermore I’ve discovered a lot of cool coffee places. Some shops (like the one pictured above, which is the absolute heaven if you want to treat yourself to a completely new fall outfit, for both men and women) and there was a new Aesop store with an interior so inspiring you want to get into some DIY at home right away. I hope to inspire you to go out and enjoy Paris!  Read more…

I’M NOMINATED FOR RED’S HOT WOMEN AWARDS!

October 2nd, 2012

I’m thrilled to tell you I’m nominated for Red’s Hot Women Awards. In the category ‘media’: women who make a difference on television, print magazines and online. It’s such an honor to be nominated! Since the start of Petite Passport, more than 2 years ago, I’ve enjoyed every second of working on it – from visiting the spots in order to write about it to your lovely mails I receive every week, telling me where Petite Passport brought you. Even if I don’t win, the nomination is something I’m really, really grateful for.

So go on, vote for me, it’s only one click (you don’t need to fill out complete forms):

A BLOG FREE WEEK

August 31st, 2012

Inspired by Lottie Loves from London, I’m also taking a Blog Free Week. As a blogger you become so attached to your iPhone and Macbook that those devices feel like an extra limb. This week I’m gonna unplug. Put the devices into fly mode and be with my loved one, on a beach, with books I forgot to read. And a Moleskine notebook in case my mind comes up with new ideas for this new ‘school year’. See you on September 10th again!  Read more…
