As you may know I’m a big fan of Incase products. I use their iPhone case, protect my laptop with the Eley Kishimoto sleeve and since a few weeks I’m travelling with the Incase Hardshell Roller. It’s not only beautiful from the outside with the brightly colored wheels, but it has a very clever interior too. Made for people who like to travel with their mobile devices. There’s room for your Macbook Pro, iPad and all the plugs connected to those devices. The big advantage is that if you’re going through airport security you don’t have to open the whole suitcase to get your laptop out of it, because you can open the front zipper and you can easily slide your electronic devices out of it. Have you seen the pictures I took in the Ace Hotel London and on my way to Paris? See here and here. I can’t wait to go on my next trip with my roller.

Together with Incase Benelux we’ve made a contest for every design savvy traveller. One of the readers here on Petite Passport is soon gonna travel in style with this Incase Roller (worth 249 euro). No more packing problems because it holds all your clothes for a citytrip (and you can make the suitcase even bigger when you decide to empty a lovely concept store) and all your devices. Incase started with making the coolest iPhone cases and is now making digital life better through good design via cool bags, sleeves and cases. Like this Roller. Wanna see more of it? Check out this video.

Win a stay at Hôtel Droog Amsterdam

This contest is now closed. You can see the winner here.

At the historical centre of Amsterdam, you will find a hospitality experience like no other. Hôtel Droog is a place where you can come for a drink, a bite to eat, exclusive shopping, exhibitions, beauty advice, a stroll in the garden, a lecture series, or even a bed for the night. Featuring the Droog Store, Gallery, Dining Room, Fairy Tale Garden, Beauty at Cosmania, Fashion at Kabinet, Products at Weltevree, collaborations with concept store Merci, and the one and only Bedroom, Hôtel Droog is definitely a place you can’t miss when you’re in Amsterdam.

If you’ve been to Hôtel Droog you have seen all those amazing spaces, except one. I’m talking about the One and Only Bedroom. Only accessible for guests and a heaven for design freaks like myself. The whole penthouse (with bedroom, bathroom with bath, kitchen and living room) is decorated with items of Droog Design. From the Lounge of Layers by Katrin Greiling to the Christien Meindertsma pouf. You will have a view over the rooftops of Amsterdam and you can log in to their free wifi system to upload a picture to share your amazing experience.

Together with Droog Design we’ve made a fantastic, fabulous and very exciting contest. One of the readers of Petite Passport is gonna stay one night at the One and Only Bedroom in Amsterdam! Imagine walking up the stairs and opening the doors to your Droog Design Home for one night. Sitting on that beautiful couch, sleeping underneath the cotton sheets and waking up with a coffee on that big table.

To win this amazing stay at the One and Only Bedroom of Hôtel Droog in Amsterdam for 2 persons including breakfast, you’ll have to:  Read more…

Thanks for all your touching comments. It’s so hard to choose a winner when all the reactions are so kind. Ofcourse you all want to stay at the beautiful Shelter 7 but what I also like to read were all those positive things about Gent. I’m also a big fan of that city in Belgium.

Shelter 7 is a beautiful place to stay in the center of Gent. It’s not an ordinary hotel, because you’re the only one sleeping there. Call it your own design home with three stories and a beautiful terrace. I had the chance to stay there in December and was really impressed. In every corner of the house you will find inspiration. From the books in the living room to the Aesop soap in the small kitchen. And from the Llotllov lamp above the bed to the concrete bathroom. And the location is perfect: right in the middle of the city. Close to the most amazing shops and restaurants.

And the good thing is: you can win a night in Shelter 7!  Read more…

Hotel V Nesplein opened it’s doors just a few months ago (in March 2013) and is the latest cool designhotel in Amsterdam. The location is perfect: close to all the shops, restaurants and theatres in the capital of the Netherlands. But it’s the design that really stands out. Inspiration comes from all the theatres around the hotel, but instead of choosing for red curtains and other typical theatre stuff, they refer to it in small details. Like theatre lamps on the ceiling or the, not so small, chandelier in the lobby. Well I can tell about it for ages (did that in the Tried & Tested I made of the hotel earlier) but the good thing is: you can win a stay at this beautiful hotel!  Read more…

M.OSS Design is a new designbrand from the Netherlands and makes lamps you immediately fall in love with. And I’m not the only one who thinks the simplistic design, with softly colored pastel lampshades, are so stunning. Several national and international Petite Passport hotspots are already selling the lamps.

Together with Marcel Ossendrijver, the designer of M.OSS Design, we’re running a competition. One of the readers here on Petite Passport is gonna win this Pixoss lamp with a grey lampshade (price: 195 euro, with an European plug). The Pixoss lamp is born out of the famous Disney Pixar logo. And yes, indeed. By looking at it again, you can see a comic figure in it. Marcel Ossendrijver loves everything that comes from Scandinavia: the colors, the materials and much more. That’s where he got his inspiration from. And he chooses for the beautiful pastel colors because they radiate a certain calmness. We all like that in our houses or offices, don’t we?

It’s very easy to win this beautiful lamp, you only have to:  Read more…
