Jetsetters of the world: hear this out. On March 16 the beach club of the rich and famous (and people who want to show that to the world), the Blue Marlin in Ibiza, is opening a new beach club in the United Arab Emirates. On Ghantoot Al Jazira Island. Something for you to go to? Or too tacky?

Most striking feature:

The French bistro is working it’s way into every single Dutch city. From George in Amsterdam to Pastis in The Hague and from Pierre in Rotterdam to cafe Colette in Haarlem. It opened it’s doors at the end of last year. You recognise the Parisian metro tiles, the brown leathercouches and the old bistro chairs. Cafe Colette is during the week only open for dinner, but on Saturday and Sunday you can also join them for lunch. That’s what I did with my friends. The menu for lunch is small (think hamburgers and a caesar salad, would love them to put something like a club sandwich on it) but I’ve ordered a small portion of ravioli and it tasted very good. They use tea of Bazar – and that’s always something that cheers me up because one of my favorite flavours, Zoethout, comes with it.

Most striking feature:

The interior with vintage pharmacy cupboards used as a display for their clothes. C.Cruden is a denim brand from Rotterdam. Known for their baggy pants with two buttons and a special system in it so you still get a ‘good butt’ in it. But they also make beautiful skinny jeans in denim and leather (my personal favorite), shirts partly made of old scarves and funny bags. Apart from their own collection they sell denim design dolls known as BIEK & WALT. Made by my friend Bianca Speijk. The shop is located close to the Witte de Withstraat.
