lidkoebcopenhagen1

Most striking feature:

Their cocktails. Or the bartenders? You will definitely enjoy the style of the guys who work here. Suspenders, a cool hat and tattoos on their arms: you’ll get the picture. There’s a cozy corner with chesterfields in the restaurant (also around a fireplace) and some rooms have comfy chairs you want to have at home immediately. Do you recognize that feeling? That you’re in a hotel room and think: ‘this Read more…

TRIED & TESTED: ARTS ON MAIN JOHANNESBURG

March 20th, 2013

artsonmainjohannesburg

Most striking feature:

Having lunch underneath the olive trees. The Maboneng Precinct is an area full of old warehouses turned into restaurants, hotels and even a museum (see this picture on Instagram, the museum is gonna open in a few months). It still has a rough edge to it. That’s also the charm of Jo’burg: it’s not a brochure like city. You really have to dig into it to find the pearls. Like Arts on Main on a Sunday afternoon. There a food and fashion market Read more…
