NEW FROM THIS FRIDAY:
George Deli opens on Friday evening as well. Try three of the George Classics for 25 euro during this Friday Night Bistro. Cool!
Most striking feature:
The freshness of the ingredients. If you have one single doubt about honestly produced food, please go here. Order a club sandwich or a tomato soup and you will taste what it’s like to eat bio food. I can say it was my best club sandwich ever. And a tiny little extra: you can order a whole club sandwich or the half of it. Great option because who doesn’t think club sandwiches are usually to huge to digest? George Deli is situated above Marqt (the bio supermarket). So good to combine a shopping spree with a lunch.

The Macbooks. It was like Cloud Seven Cafe was around the corner of an Apple store because everyone in here was working on their Macbook. It’s a good place to come alone, check your mail and get in touch with the local Macbook users (don’t even think of bringing your Windows laptop in here, because I think you will cause a stir). I’ve ordered a chicken salad on a Yam Bum and a coke. We’re in Portland so it’s not the normal Coke, but the green version of it. Without the sugar and produced in an honest way. I loved this place also because of their lamps.

Most striking feature:
Their garden behind the restaurant. Sandy’s is a well-known name on the island (Freddie Mercury and Errol Flyn used to come here), but the new Irish owner did some adjustments and now it’s a great place for lunch or dinner. The restaurant is divided in three area’s: the bar, the restaurant and the garden. The garden looks amazing: there’s an beautiful old church bench, cute red lantarns and you will find the herbs they use in the food there as well. We’ve ordered a wooden plate of antipasti to share (with olives, parma ham, ansjovis and cheese). The restaurant is located in Santa Eularia des Riu.

Eco Citizen is an eco store in San Francisco. In it you will find men’s and women’s wear with an ecoconscious feel to it. I fell in love with this scarf of A Peace Treaty. Several artisans from around the world have worked on the scarf. Price: 117 euro.
