Bye bye January, hello February. Did you know this time of the year is the best for going away to a warm country? Because January is the toughest month and on the end of it we’re like: where’s the sun? So if you escape to some place warm, you will be back in February and then it’s only a month till Spring. I was happy enough to escape the cold this month and went to Barcelona, my second home. I hired a bike and drove through the city to visit a long list of spots. Only a few were suitable for Petite Passport and Cometa and Toto topped the list on Pinterest and Facebook. I’ve also did some spotting in Amsterdam: Tenue de Nimes and Hutspot were two new shops I loved to discover. This month I will be looking forward to a trip to Cape Town and Johannesburg during Design Indaba. Ofcourse I will keep you posted! For now: let’s see what the most popular spots were this month!

TRIED & TESTED: HUTSPOT AMSTERDAM

Most striking feature:

After their first pop up store on the Utrechtsestraat, they’ve opened a huge store on the Van Woustraat (around the corner of the Albert Cuyp Market). There are two floors. In the basement you’ll find a huge collection of clothes (for both men and women), books, interior accessories and plants. On the first floor there’s a cafe where you can read magazines, drink a good cup of coffee or meet up with friends.
