A few weeks ago Han Kjøbenhavn opened their first store in New York. But it all started in the center of Copenhagen in 2008 where two Danish guys were selling beautiful sun glasses. It got so popular that they opened their flagshipstore in 2012 and they not only sell sunglasses in it, but also clothes, shoes and bags. Again in the Woodstock Foundry, this stylish hair dresser opened it’s doors last year. At first I thought it was a barber and that they only shave and cut men. Truth Coffee is a well-known name in Cape Town. The coffee is sold everywhere and there are two Truth Coffee cafes in town. The Woodstock Foundry is a place where creativity rules. They make jewelry (Dear Rae), you can get a new hair cut (The Lobby) and sometimes they organize an evening filled with design (the Heavy Metal exhibition). Selah is an interesting store in the Woodstock Foundry. You can buy your Field Notes notebook here or an elephant made of wood, but you really get inspired by the quotations throughout the store and especially on the white board.
