BEST OF MARCH 2013

April 1st, 2013

bestofapril2013

Bye, bye March, hello April. How was your month in terms of travelling and seeing the latest spots around the world? Or even close by? In your own city? I was so lucky to start the month in Cape Town and Johannesburg to discover the best places for you to go. At home I had a lot of work waiting for me, but that didn’t stop me from updating my own city (Rotterdam) and visiting the new concept store Groos. And I went to Antwerp to see de Invasie and discovered Viktor: a beautiful place to get your coffee (or hot chocolate milk) and shop. Another thing to celebrate is the fact that my blog turned 3 years last week and I’m still not thinking of stopping at all. There’s so much more to discover to get you, and myself, in the mood for travelling the design way. Have a good month!

TRIED & TESTED: DUTCH DESIGN WEEK EINDHOVEN

October 22nd, 2012

My Dutch Design Tour

11am last Saturday morning. I was so excited to see the Colour One MINI by Scholten & Baijings at the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven. I saw the pictures of the space in Milan and unfortunately I couldn’t go there, but now I’ve seen it here in Eindhoven. You know I am a big fan of the brand and what they’ve done with the MINI is amazing. The car is still the same; but all the extra’s got a fantastic design flavor. Like the driver’s seat or the steering wheel (see pictures). Even the Read more…

October 17th, 2012

The self made stools. The interior is very low key, so the bold colored stools really draw the attention. They are light weighted, easy to fold up and by that very moveable. They told me they Read more…

The question I’m asked most often is: ‘what are your absolute favorites?’ That’s a tough question because everything on my site is a favorite, otherwise I won’t write about it. But if I have to narrow them down to a shortlist of the best addresses, so you can print it out and take it with you, you have found the right page. Here you go: my favorites, all Tried & Tested, in New York! Enjoy! Read more…

MADRID WEEK ON PETITE PASSPORT

July 23rd, 2012

A few weeks ago I went to Madrid to make a report for a magazine and ofcourse to bring you the newest spots. Finally I could stay at the Praktik Metropol hotel which was located close to mainly everything in the city. They gave me a beautiful room with a one million dollar view over the city. I’ve discovered the rest of the city (mainly North of the Gran Via, areas like Salamanca, Chueca and Las Salesas). There was a fantastic pop up store Read more…
