TRIED & TESTED: FELIX &FOAM AMSTERDAM

Most striking feature:

The installation made by i29 architects in the Frame concept store on the first floor.┬áBecause of the rich history of the space (see the original floor and the columns for example) they didn’t want to change too much. So they made a special kind of mirror boxes so those details are visible everywhere you look – and the products really stand out. Felix Meritis, the European center for culture, wasn’t doing very well lately. They were declared bankrupt before the municipality bought the property and decided to give Foam, the museum of photography, the lead turning it into Felix &Foam. TRIED & TESTED: STAMPPIET EINDHOVEN

Most striking feature:

Hundreds of blue shirts. StampPiet Eindhoven is a temporary restaurant during the Dutch Design Week. A project by Piet Bergman and his girlfriend, and fashion designer, Mascha van Wely. She’s responsible for the design of the place and was in big need of blue shirts. So she could use the mail-system of Philips and in a short time she collected 600 (!) shirts. Most of them hang above the tables, but you also see them hanging on a rack, on a big pile of folded around a chair.
