Unfortunately this spot has closed its doors
These days every city has a cool food market. Not too big, but large enough to host several entrepreneurs who sell their cheeses, beer, vegetables, fish or meat. And ofcourse in a fantastic setting. Not far away from the Mercado de San Anton, that favorite address in every travel guide book and by that being quite a touristy place, you will find El Huerto de Lucas. In a quiet alley, behind a door you quickly walk past if you don’t know about it, you will enter a world of good food. They sell 100% organic products. From fruit to cheese and from bread to icecream. The food vendors are located around a spacious square with tables where you can ofcourse have something to eat underneath all those cool hanging plants. And that’s not all: they also have an in-house organic beauty shop. A great stop if you’re exploring Chueca and Las Salesas.
