WEEKEND IN BARCELONA
My weekend started on Thursday evening when I went to the launch of the new collection (called Surf Off, because of the lack of waves in Barcelona this season) of Firmamento Surf. Firmamento is a small, but cool surf inspired shop in Barceloneta where they sell amazing shirts, sweaters and bags for men, women and kids. Also they have an impressive collection of independent magazines. Check their new collection here: firmamento.com
When my boyfriend and I are in for sushi we go to El Japones, close to the Paseo de Gracia. A minimalistic restaurant where you can see the chef working in the open kitchen and we always order a mix of sushi and the negima teriyaki.
On Saturday we went to Fabrica Lehman in l’Eixample. An old factory where architects, designers and other creative people work. Only this Saturday they’ve opened the doors to the public for an Open House. Look at the entrance, stunning right?!
Sunday Morning started with a breakfast at Hotel Brummell. I told you earlier about this beautiful new hotel by the designers of Federal Cafe in Poble Sec and this time I tried their yoghurt with fruit. It was a good start of the day! Also because I finally met the people behind Behomm.com. More about that later this week!
The best bakery in Barcelona is Baluard, located at Barceloneta Beach and there’s also one in the Praktik Bakery Hotel uptown. We’ve bought some bread there and had a small lunch there too. Love it when hotels are not places where you are only allowed when you stay there, but when it gathers a cool mix of locals and tourists alike. Just like Hotel Brummell.
Have a great week everyone! x Pauline
