If you’re looking for a hotel with a perfect location if you’re arriving to Maastricht by train and with an affordable daily rate, Kaboom Hotel will suit you. When you get out of Central Station you will immediately see the hotel which has 63 rooms and a small reception area which is full of plants. I’ve stayed in the Large Urban Room with a lot of windows looking out over Central Station. The first thing that you will notice is the wallpaper. It’s designed exclusively for this hotel and if you look closer you will see all kind of references to the city. The wallpaper doesn’t stop at the walls, also the ceiling has the same print. Which gives you the idea of sleeping in a box. There’s an Auping bed which sleeps amazing – love the way they attached the pillows to the wall and the lamps of Droog Design next to it. Then there’s of course a super fast wifi connection and a huge television. Kaboom Hotel is part of La Bergere Group, who also owns the Townhouse Hotel and St Martenslane Hotel. If you want to visit all the great spots of Maastricht (see impression here) then it’s a ten minute walk to the other side of the river Maas.
