If you’re like me and love to discover hidden gems then you’ll have to go to Pinhan Cafe in Barcelona. Pinhan means secret in Turkish which explains that it really is hidden. So I’m sorry, we’re not going to Barceloneta, El Born or Gracia this time, because you have to cycle (or take a taxi) to the Turo Park, just North of the Diagonal. It’s a beautiful garden in a high-end part of Barcelona where I’ve overheard some conversations about nannies, houses with hefty price tags and flying to a wedding in London for the weekend. Eva and her daughter Julia of told me about this spot which had just opened the doors, well, the windows, last week and I went there for lunch. The owner is Turkish and she knows how to not make the most delicious food you will ever taste, and it’s really healthy too. I’ve ordered a salad with lots of delicious ingredients and typical Turkish Borek with feta. So, so good! They work with great companies in Barcelona like Cloudstreet Bakery. They also made icecream for the very hot Summer days and the breakfast is already a hit. Imagine going there with your friend, ordering breakfast for two and the whole table will be filled with the most perfect dishes. Enjoy!

The setting and dishes are scrumptious, an oasis in Barcelona where I lived for four years.
