In the happening Meatpacking District in Copenhagen you will find Kul, charcoal in Danish. Chefs Henrik Yurk and Christian Mortensen who worked at several Michelin-starred restaurants make the most delicious grilled dishes in their open kitchen – on the grill and in their Josper oven. I spoke to Christian Mortensen who worked in California before moving back to his home country Denmark and opened this restaurant – high quality grill recipes with a good price. You can order from the menu: small dishes like white asparagus with truffle and parmesan or larger dishes to share. To get the real Kul experience you’re invited to try out their 5- or 7-course menu that comes with wine. The interior is done by SPACE Copenhagen, the same interior design company as Noma and the recently opened 11 Howard hotel in New York.
