MY WEEK IN PORTUGAL
Last week I went to Portugal to spot the best hotels for you to stay during your next Spring/Summer trip to the Algarve. The reason I went was because of the opening of supercool Casa Mae in Lagos which I will be telling you all about tomorrow, but of course I wanted to see more of this beautiful region. If you’re going there try to focus on the areas around Tavira (East of Faro and close to the border of Spain) or Lagos and the West of the Algarve for beautiful beaches, rock formations and surf spots. The best time to visit isn’t July or August (too busy and too hot according to the locals), but from March until June and in September and October you’re gonna have the best weather and it’s not that crowdy. Imagine: I visited in December and I was still having lunch outside without a coat on with 19 degrees.
For now I love to share what caught my eye during my time in the Algarve.
Tourism Algarve sponsored my flight and car rental. Check out their website here.

12.12.2016 at 23:51You have beautiful photos Pauline! I’m glad you enjoyed Portugal it’s an amazing country and Algarve it’s one of my favorite destinations to go on holidays when I just want to relax. I saw that you visited Casas no Tempo and Cabanas no Rio so I think you would like to stay in Pedras Salgadas Spa & Nature Park. It’s an hotel near Vidago in the north of Portugal. I never been there but it looks like a dream and won several architecture awards.
Hava a good 2017!
