If you’re looking for a small and intimate hotel in Singapore, Lloyd’s Inn is a good option. It’s located quite close to Orchard Road, so especially if you’re planning a shopping trip, you will be on the perfect location.

The taxi-driver is not sure about the location and tells me a story about a woman who wanted to go to Lloyd Road too and ended up in front of a nonexistent hotel. Always stimulating to have a positive taxi-driver right? Happily my stop at Lloyd Road number 2 brings me to the entrance of Lloyd’s Inn and I tell the taxi-driver he can drop the passengers here next time.

Bring nature in

A small bridge over the garden with swimming pool leads up to the lobby. The idea behind the hotel is to show the guests the nature side of Singapore. And indeed: you’re on a super central location, but after the shopping you can rest in the garden, hear the birds sing and see nothing but greenery.

Outdoor bath

Lloyd’s Inn only has 34 rooms in different categories. 8 to be precise. And all of the room-types have a nature theme. My room, The Sky Room, had an outdoor bath tub and shower. So you can watch the stars at night from the bath tub. Other rooms invite nature in too. You can have an outdoor bath tub too or a lovely terrace. I also like The Reading Room which has more daylight coming in.
