In Armadale you will find cafe Moby 3143 Melbourne, a super cool addition to the already super thick design spots portfolio of Melbourne.

A little bit of Ottolenghi in Melbourne

The owners are into local hangouts. Steve Svensen is also behind Barry in Northcote and Christina Higgins was trained at Le Cordon Blue and worked at Ottolenghi later on. They decided to work together on Moby 3143 and bring a little bit of the Ottolenghi flavors to Armadale. They recommended the Smash Avo so I’ve tried that one and it was delicious. Other recommendations are the Bircher Muesli, Eggs Benedict and the super healthy Californian Superfood Salad.

Mr and Mrs Moby

For coffee they work with Five Senses and they also have a range of teas. If you’re more into a smoothie you can choose the Mr Moby or the Mrs Moby. One is with banana and peanut butter. The other with mango and date.

Rooftop terrace

The restaurant interior (by We Are Huntly) is stunning. The coffee cafe (with a take-away window), cafe and kitchen are based on the ground floor and they also have seatings upstairs – and even a small rooftop terrace. Believe it or not, it was so hot that day that people rather stay inside.
