Architecture and design play a major role at Teddy Picker, a small place to stay on the corner of the Vlaamsesteenweg in Brussels.

A brother project

Brothers Ben and Tim Siaens like to do multiple things. Tim runs a graphic design studio, while Ben has a plant shop and they both have an immense love for Brussels, architecture and interior. Years ago they bought this building, conveniently located just off the Antoine Dansaertstraat where you’ll find shops like ICON, La Fabrika and A.P.C., which they completely renovated

Lots of greenery

The graphic design studio is located on the top floors, the plant shop on the ground floor and in between they have created four spacious studios. All decorated with a leading role for design and greenery. Not only inside the room, as the outdoor areas are just as important. The studio and double room facing the interior of the building all have a view of lots of plants. And the deluxe studio has a private terrace that is almost fully covered with greenery. The immense Monstera stands out in the room. And the spacious bathroom has Aesop shower gel and shampoo. You can also play some vintage records or pick out one of the design books from the cupboard. They don’t offer breakfast in the morning, but they have a collaboration with Mok Specialty Coffee Roastery around the corner. A must for coffee and breakfast fans anyway.

Plant store, music and food

Rocco Pantalon is the plant shop on the ground floor (plus basement) with a large collection of beautiful plants. They also sell vases, pots, watering cans and seeds and work together with local companies such as MAD Brussels to supply the plants for installations. And this isn’t all. In the Summer they organize concerts on their doorstep. And their first restaurant will open soon. Definitely a place to keep your eye on when in Brussels!
