Wake up with a view over the sea or the dunes at Strandhotel Zoomers in Castricum aan Zee, a beach hotel stylishly decorated with HKliving products.
Castricum aan Zee is located in Noord-Holland, in between Wijk aan Zee and Egmond aan Zee. It’s a popular destination for people who love exploring the dune reserve. And for those who want to spend a day at the beach. Expect a few beach pavilions and a lot of tiny holiday homes at the beach. It’s not comparable to chic Bergen aan Zee or Bloemendaal: but it’s certainly a good place to get a breath of fresh air, especially in combination with a walk through the dunes.
The owner of beach club Zoomers was given the opportunity to open a hotel facing the beach and decided to collaborate with Dutch design brand HKliving. Creative studio The Other Season decorated the rooms in such a way that they are all different, but all have a contemporary look. As a guest you’re not only inspired by all that you see, but if you want you can also order your favorite vases, pillows or chairs via the HKliving catalog.
During my visit I stayed in the spacious HKliving Suite Noord with a beautiful sea view. The room has a terrace, a bedroom, kitchenette and bathroom. Next time I would choose a room on the dune-side of the hotel as they are a bit more quiet. Strandhotel Zoomers is also highly recommended if you have children: they have a family room and even a HKliving Apartment. Don’t forget to combine your visit with a trip to Bergen. A picturesque artists’ village where you’ll have to add a visit to l’Etoile to your list: a beautiful home accessories store.
