Good morning!

Welcome to the sixth edition of Monday Memo. A diary of fun things: new openings I’m excited about, exhibitions I like to go to, products I love, initiatives that caught my eye, news I want to share and much more. All related to hotspots, design and travel of course. Every two weeks 10 things, so let’s go!

London Design Festival

The London Design Festival has just started so if you’re in town, make sure to to visit. Check out large-scale outdoor commissions from Studio Weave and Marlene Huissoud, visit the Design Districts in Brompton, Kings Cross, Mayfair and Shoreditch and go on a design walk in Walthamstow or Peckham. And even if you’re not, they do organize a digital program with online talks, tours and virtual events. Until September 20.

Rent fashion

What a great idea: British site Onloan rents fantastic fashion items for a month and then you’ll return them. A sustainable choice for those of you who want to wear something different every day, but don’t want to be an over-buyer.

Kyoto to Catwalk

The V&A in London is focussing on the kimono in their exhibition: Kimono, Kyoto to Catwalk. A must see if you love fashion and Japan. Until October 25th.

Uptown Design in Brussels

Art parcours through Uptown Brussels – from September 16 to September 27.

Coffee in Cologne

Last week I went to Cologne to visit the coolest places to go. One of them is Van Dyck Roasterei in the Kornerstrasse.

The Coffee District

New in Amsterdam is The Coffee District. They’ve just opened their second location on the Willemsparkweg.

Petite Passport Magazine

Slightly more than a week and the second Petite Passport Magazine will be available. Pre-order yours now!

Glue Amsterdam

New in Amsterdam is Glue, a 3-day design route throughout the city. From September 18 – 20.
