2 September 2021

SEPTEMBER ANTWERP

September opened its doors in an old patisserie on the Minderbroedersrui. The place to try farm-to-table dishes with a strong focus on vegetables.

Former patisserie

September may ring a bell. The owners also run September Lokaal in Borgerhout, which is now known as Settembrini. They got the chance to revive this former patisserie. The mirrored cabinets remained visible and due to their striking appearance they kept the rest of the interior simple. There is also a bar with Bram Vanderbeke stools and the kitchen is located in the back.

Love for fresh ingredients

Somehow, September feels like you’re sitting down with a beloved couple with a gite in France. You know that they have selected the ingredients with love, or perhaps have obtained them from their own garden (in this case from befriended Belgian farmers). And that love for food translates taste to your  plate. The dishes have a focus on vegetables and bring back memories of summer. And that without leaving the city!
