Most striking feature:
The cube with the large window looking out over the nature of Tudela (nearby Zaragoza). When we opened the door of room number 17 our jaws dropped like it never dropped before. The window is impresionante big time! You forget about the rest of the room, let your bags fall out of your hands and run to the cube immediately. It’s like you’re hypnotised by the nature together with the beautiful design. There’s a matrass with big fluffy pillows in it, where you can easily spend hours reading magazines – or watching tv, but I can’t understand who want to turn on the television if you have that view.
Next to the cube you’ll find a huge bed in the room, a rain shower with view, an apart toilet and lots of space to organise your stuff. There are a couple of room types. My boyfriend (who is the best in the world surprising me with this hotel stay as a gift for the year 2012) booked a double room with scenic views. The best option because of the splendid nature around us. When the moon sets in you crawl close to your loved one (in the cube) and see the stars coming up. Honeymoon material right?
Apart from the 22 rooms you’ll find a restaurant, a swimming pool, a vegetable garden and the famous Parisian Parc du Luxembourg chairs at the Aire de Bardenas site. We also made a trip to the Bardenas Natural Park. I never been to the Grand Canyon but I think you can compare this to that area in the USA. Not something for the mediocre tourist, but overwhelming for everyone.
Definitely a place to go with your lover – or alone if you need time to get inspiration or just be alone. 4 hour drive from Barcelona.
